Martin Luther King Day Celebration and Walk

January 15th; 8:30 AM

Acworth Community Center

Turn a day ‘off’ into a day ‘on’ in Acworth! The Acworth MLK Celebration and Day of Service will be held Monday, January 15, 2024. Everyone is invited to join us for a light welcome breakfast at 8:30 a.m. at the Roberts School Community and Education Center.  Following the welcome breakfast, the Unity Walk will begin at 9:15 a.m. and leave from the Roberts School and finish at the Acworth Community Center. Our program honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. will take place at 10:00 a.m. in the Tanyard Creek Overlook of the Acworth Community Center.  After the program concludes, we will begin our service project helping an organization in our community.  MLK Day of Service shirts will be for sale at the Acworth Community Center leading up to and on the day of the event.  All proceeds will go towards the Acworth Expanding Horizons and Acworth Achievers programs. 

Sponge Bob The Musical

This show is a guaranteed definition of F-U-N for anyone who has loved the Spongebob show, or anyone ready for nautical adventure full of inventive staging, colorful characters, and music by a rogues gallery of who’s-who artists!

The Cobb Trade Show

January 21st – 22nd

Cobb Galleria

The Cobb Trade Show is a curated fashion event produced by the Atlanta Apparel Exhibition Group. The trade show offers a powerful mix of premium, dress-wear, footwear, accessories, and the ever-changing street-wear apparel.

Jurassic Quest

January 26th – 28th

Cobb Galleria

Jurassic Quest is the world’s largest, most popular Dino event with unique and exciting experiences for the whole family. Observe the herd of life size dinosaurs including Apatosaurus, Spinosaurus, and an INCREDIBLE T.Rex!

Culture Collision – Trade Show

January 26th – 28th

Cobb Galleria

January 26th-28th at the Cobb Galleria. Culture Collision is one action-packed show that brings cards, comics, collectibles, and sneakers all in one place! This is the largest show in Atlanta! This is a unique experience, and organizers encourage people who are new and old to the hobby to come set up or just simply support and find that perfect item to add to your current collections. The event will have a DJ, food, trade nights, celebrity appearances, a half-sized basketball court, panel discussions, live breaks, and giveaways. There will be over 500 tables available.

Trains, Trains, Trains

January 27th – 28th

Southern Museum of Civil War & Locomotive History

The Southern Museums largest train even to of the year. This event promises to not disappoint with two full days of everything trains!

Braves Fest

January 27th

Truist Park at the Battery Atlanta

A whole day to celebrate our 6 time National League East Champions, and 2021 World Series Champs, the Atlanta Braves. This event is free for parking and admission. The event features opportunities for player autographs, player photos, shopping, dining, interactive entertainment, and play interactions.
